There are many benefits of practising yoga at home, as well as coming to class each week. Students often think they don't know enough to establish their own home practice, so here is your chance to put it together and get your home practice happening. Establishing a home practice is easy if you learn a few fundamental principles. You will feel the benefits physically, mentally and emotionally, but the real benefit is learning to listen to your own body and practice according to what you need to learn. Eventually, you learn to be your own teacher, and that is the real value of a home practice.

At The Yoga Room we are always excited to offer workshops to our students to increase their knowledge of yoga so that it eventually becomes part of their daily life. We are interested in seeing our students lead a healthy life full of love, abundance and peace, and to be the best version of themselves. Yoga is a journey that can teach us so much about ourselves and how to interact in the world. It teaches us to observe, reflect, be still and find peace in our crazy busy world. The Introductory Course creates a solid foundation by learning the basic yoga poses in a methodical and measured way. You will learn good posture and alignment, how to stand in the centre of gravity and be aware of your body and breath.

Winter is a good time to renew your energy. Join us this week for two classes to nurture yourself and take some time out to restore your energy. These two classes are open to all students of any level of experience. You will feel grounded, enjoy a great night's sleep and be ready for the week ahead. Class time as follows:
